But now, a terrifyingly giant tree monster is slowly but surely approaching. There are many Treant in this mountain range but they have never seen such a large one before. Even those elves who have lived in this area for a long time is seeing it for the first time.
“T-there is no doubt…… this guy is an Ancient Treant…… It’s the monstrous Treant from our elven legends……”
The elder elf groans with a pale face. They first discovered this giant monster about a month ago. At that time, it was still towering in the distance, but the elves of the village who went to investigate suffered great injuries and they could only run away. Unfortunately, the giant Treant has been getting closer and closer to this village since then.
Unlike ordinary trees, Treant species can move slowly. Perhaps it had sucked nutrients from the surrounding vegetation, and this monster, which had grown even more, was already near the village and is only just a stone’s throw away from them.

Falling from the sky were insect-type monsters such as caterpillars, beetles and spiders. They probably lived on the branches and leaves of the Ancient Treant. The elves hurriedly dealt with the attacking monsters.

The elves, wide-eyed at what on earth had happened, saw a giant root sprouting from the ground. It wriggles around and it looks like an ominous tentacle.

It’s not just one. The ground exploded one after another, and huge roots popped out of it. Before they knew it, roots were growing everywhere, the village had become a forest of roots. In such desperate scene, the elves no longer have the will to fight and just stand still.

Someone murmured as if to pray, then it happened.
