The head butler opened the door of the drawing room and informed us. We hurriedly stood up upon hearing it.
Sue bowed, so I bowed too. Shiro and Ao also bowed down, but they have candy dregs on their cheeks making it look a bit funny.
A man with a well-trained physique like a warrior appeared in the room. He had short, brown hair with a few gray strands mixed in.
“Make yourself at ease. This is not an official place.”
We looked up when the Margrave spoke to us. He has a stern face and sharp eyes.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, my Lord. My name is Shun. I look forward to working with you.”
“Mm, that’s a nice greeting like a nobleman. I’m the Margrave of Southland. I’m charge of this frontier.”
“I’m Shiro. This child is called Ao-chan.”
“Haha, what a lively little girl. Shun right? It’s a child’s reply, so don’t worry about it.”
“Y-yes, thank you for your leniency.”
Shiro greeted the Margrave enthusiastically like how she does with others so I was about to warn her, but the Margrave said it was fine.
Next time, I will have to teach her how to greet people, especially with nobles. The Margrave of Southland greeted us with a smile, which was helpful.
