Walking, Chapter 134: Time to relax

After returning to the inn, we took a short break before heading out.

We had been taking on requests for the cherry blossom viewing festival for two weeks straight, and we also had to exterminate a demon at the church.

Today, I decided that we won’t take any requests, and we are going to wander around the town.

“Shun-oniichan, there’s slime grilled food for sale.”

“Oh, it’s true. It’s easy to make, and I hope it will become a specialty of the Eastern Frontier.”

In several places in the shopping street, slime-baked foods are being sold. I bought a few for us to try and the taste was fine. Ao also gave her stamp of approval, so there’s no problem with them as a product.

I don’t know if we’ll be able to participate in next year’s cherry blossom viewing festival, but even if we can’t, it seems that slime grill stalls will be fine.

“Oh, they sell sugar sculptures.”

“It’s true.”

“I’ll buy some for everyone.”

“““Yay”””

Sugar sculptures were also sold in the shopping street, and Sue bought one not only for Fran and Horn, but also for Shiro and Ao.

Shiro and the others were licking the sugar sculpture they had bought with relish.

Even after the cherry blossom viewing festival was over, many tourists remained, and the shopping street was bustling.

We thought we couldn’t relax in the shopping street, so we headed to the park where the cherry blossom viewing festival was held.

“A lot of flowers have fallen.”

“There’s a lot of fallen leaves too.”

“There are a lot of flower petals on the side of the road as well.”

The cherry blossom-like flowers that were the main attraction of the festival have almost all fallen, and the trees all around have lost their leaves. We sat down near the temporary hut where we had set up a food stall and decided to relax a little.

From the item box, I took out the leftovers of yesterday’s yakisoba bread and drinks and distributed them to everyone.

“It’s kind of like a picnic.”

“I guess so. We were all busy until yesterday, so I think it’s a good idea to relax here.”

“Mm, you’re right. It’s not a bad idea to relax a bit.”

Sue and I were sitting on the lawn while we stared at Shiro and the others who had finished eating their yakisoba bread and started to run around.
