Traveling within the Margrave’s territory continued to be completely trouble-free, just as before. Occasionally a wolf would appear, but Ao would take it down in seconds.

At last, we were leaving the Margrave’s territory and entering the neighboring viscount’s domain.
Hearing that we’d soon see the ocean, Shiro and the others’ excitement shot up immediately.
As we continued along the road, Shiro and Fran—both blessed with keen noses—suddenly noticed something.
“Ah! I can smell the sea!”
“It’s kind of a strange smell.”
Riding on the wind, the scent of salt had begun to drift toward us. Fran seemed a little puzzled by the unfamiliar smell. Just as the rest of us also started to notice the salty scent in the air, a magnificent sight suddenly spread out before us.
“Oh, there it is.”
“The sea really is vast, isn’t it?”
“The sea!”
““Wow! It’s vast!””
Seeing the ocean for the first time, Fran and Horn were bursting with excitement. Sue gazed out at the water as well, a somewhat nostalgic expression on her face.
“The carriage will stop in the viscount’s town just ahead.”

Before long, the carriage arrived at a seaside town.
First, we decided to secure an inn, and then head to the marketplace. Since the town attracted many tourists, there were plenty of inns lined up along the streets. We decided on a mid-range inn, asking a few locals for recommendations, and soon managed to book two rooms without any trouble.
This time, we planned to stay for two nights and three days. Tomorrow, we were going to spend the entire day playing by the sea.

Since we were heading to the beach, we immediately went to a local clothing shop.
Men’s swimsuits are easy—if the size fits, that’s good enough. I finished my shopping in no time.

Shiro and the others had chosen bikinis decorated with lots of frills that matched the color of their hair. The tops were tube-top style, though. They suited the energetic trio perfectly—honestly, it was a pretty good choice.
Now then… Sue still hasn’t finished choosing her swimsuit. I wonder if everything’s going to be alright.

Well… how should I put it. The swimsuit Sue chose was a pink one-piece that did a good job of covering her modest chest. Though… wasn’t it a bit on the high-leg side? Still, since Sue picked it herself, I wasn’t about to comment on it.
We also bought something like an inflatable swim ring, so our preparations were complete. Next, we headed over to browse the marketplace—but that’s where we ran into a small problem.

“It has so many legs!”
When Fran and Horn saw the squid and octopus being sold at the market, they looked completely shocked. When we went fishing at the lake before, all we caught were regular fish, after all.
“That’s squid and octopus. They taste really good when cooked.”
“In that case, I want to try takoyaki!”
“Well… if we have pan for takoyaki, we could make some.”
Since it’s a special occasion, we bought a few pieces of squid and octopus. Of course, a round, concave pan like the one you need for cooking takoyaki wasn’t anywhere to be found.
Just then, Ao poked me lightly with one of her tentacles.
“You could make it yourself, Shun-oniichan. I’m sure you can do it!”
“Hmm… yeah, maybe I could try.”
I admitted, though the thought of crafting a proper pan felt like a hassle. At that moment, the little food lovers piped up.
“I want to try that takoyaki thing!”
“Fran too!”
“Horn too!”
With all three of them raising their hands so eagerly, I didn’t really have a choice. I’ll have to make a takoyaki pan.I promised them I’d do it when I had the time, and they happily accepted that answer.
