When I woke up, it was raining outside. My head is fuzzy because of the low pressure, but I don’t feel too bad. The happiness level was also 93%, which was a pretty good number.

Char, who had gotten up before me, was looking up at the loft from the living room.

Come to think of it, today is harvest day.
“I’ve decided, let’s have turnip and clam soup for breakfast. I’m sure it will be delicious.”
“Yay! I’m going to eat turnip and clam soup today!”
Well, it will be work before breakfast though. Char and I went out into the rain to harvest turnips. The turnips are growing large, and each one is as big as Char’s face. It seems that I can make not only soup but also salad with this one.
“Let’s share it with Lulu. And after breakfast, I’ll make pickled turnips. Today we will go to Lebon town to sell the rest.”
“Yey~, it’s time to explore the town!”
I cooked the harvested turnips right away. In a frying pan, I sauteed the garlic in the olive oil and when the aroma wafted out, I added the large clams. The clams that Lulu caught are very large and delicious.
“Father, it smells so good!”
“Alright, the clams are starting to open, put the chopped onion and turnips in here.”
“Okay~”
Char jumped on the platform and put the turnips in the pan.
“Alright, we’ll just need to add water when the vegetables turned translucent. Simmer the turnips until they’re tender and it’s done.”
After cooking, we happily eat bread, turnip and clam soup, turnip salad, and oranges for dessert.
Then while I was cleaning up after breakfast, someone knocked on the cottage door.
I wonder if it’s Eugenie or Lulu who came?
That’s what I thought, but it was an unexpected person who is standing outside the door.
“Paul-oniisan!”
“Hey, I came to see how you’re doing.”
Paul-oniisan looked over my shoulder and into the interior of the cottage.
“You live in a more decent house than I thought.”
“Were you worried about me?”
“Mmm, I feel guilty for leaving such a small child alone…… Here, a souvenir.”

Paul-oniisan was a little flustered by Char’s sudden appearance.

I’m sure that the inheritance that father left me was not limited to this island of Gandalcia. I don’t know the truth, but there must have been other inheritance. What is certain is that Alexei-oniisan made it his own.

“Then, could you sell some to me? I want to raise livestock here.”

It’s cheaper than I expected. I feel like the Island Maker’s market price is higher.

After we finished talking, Paul-oniisan left.
Chickens in this world are not the kind of breed that lays eggs every day. But inside Island Maker, the chickens lay eggs every day. If I keep some chickens here, they might even lay eggs every day.
I live with Char, so I think I’ll try to keep about four of them.
Four hens and one goat, 38,000 crowns in total. I’ll start saving by selling some strawberry stones in Sambabano and see how it goes.
Once the goal was set, I seemed to be more motivated.
