To be honest, it didn’t feel like I had actually defeated the orc. I had simply dealt with the problem in front of me in a blind panic.
Suddenly, I was reminded of my first days at the company I’d already quit. Back then, it had felt exactly like this. I’d thrown myself into work I didn’t understand at all, desperately trying to keep up, even standing up to unreasonable orders.

When I leveled up earlier, my current HP hadn’t changed, and I hadn’t taken any new damage since then. So it should still be the same.
In some RPGs, leveling up restores your HP to full—but apparently the dungeon system wasn’t that convenient. Either way, I needed to do something about this near-death state as soon as possible.
The adrenaline had made me forget for a while, but now the pain in my hands and legs from the slime attack is starting to return.

Looks like the only way to see how they’d improved was to actually use them.
