“Mmmm, it’s already morning huh.”

As the sun rose and I could hear birds chirping, I woke up in my tent.

Inside the sleeping bag, Shiro and Ao are still sleeping while clinging to me. Ao hadn’t woken me up in the middle of the night, so I guess it’s safe outside. Well, I had placed the food and other things that would likely be targeted in my item box, so there shouldn’t be any smell that could tempt the wild animals.

I’m Shun and I’m 14 years old. I have short black hair and is about a 160cm tall, I think. I just checked the world map earlier, and since it’s the cold season, I’m wearing blue long-sleeved shirt and long pants plus a dark coat.

Shiro is walking and spinning in front of me. She is eight years old and about 120cm tall. She has semi-long bob hair that are closer to silver hair than white, and her ears are pure white. But her skin looked porcelain like a human’s. She is wearing long-sleeved dress-like top and shorts even though it’s winter. She also has a cape-like jacket.

Ao, who’s on top of Shiro’s head, is about the size of two fists and is crystal clear blue in color. For some reason, it’s on Shiro’s head all the time.

Okay, back to where we are at. We are still walking down the road and it’s such a peaceful route.

“Hello!”

“Yes, hello.”

We passed a few people on the way, and they greeted us in a relaxed manner. No dangerous animals or monsters appeared, and the only sound I could hear is the sound of us talking.

Shiro is humming as she walks. She’s apparently enjoying the walk. 

As we walk, the scenery on the main road changes. A river flows on the right side of the road, and a forest is visible on the left side. Since there is a forest, we should be more careful than before to make sure that animals and monsters do not catch us off guard.

The bushes near us started to make rustling noises and everyone became tense.

After that, wolves and wild boars appeared, but we all defeated them. Shiro calls out to me, but she still rushes in without waiting for my orders. Ao also rushed in with Shiro, so I’m the only one in the rearguard.
