“Indeed. Judging by his behavior, I suspect that fool has been approaching newly registered adventurers and extorting money from them for quite some time.”
The moment we entered the guild master’s office, Riana-san bowed her head apologetically to us.
The guild master immediately stepped in to reassure her, but he had a point. That drunken idiot was the root cause of the whole mess, after all.
“My name is Riana, of the Duke Bloomberg family. I am ten years old this year.”
Riana-san had long blue hair tied into a ponytail and wore a knight’s uniform with light armor. She looked every bit the swordswoman. Even so, her noble upbringing was unmistakable. She practically radiated the air of an aristocratic young lady.
“My name is Grimoire. Thank you for coming to our aid.”
Grimoire is a beastgirl with short silver hair and a pair of large, sheep-like horns. She wore the robes of a mage. Despite being a beastman, she looked like a delicate, almost ethereal young girl.
“My name is Aeris. Thank you so much for helping us.”
Aeris had medium-length green hair, slightly elongated ears, and a spear in her hand. She wore lightweight clothing that looked easy to move around in, along with a breastplate for protection. She, too, gave off a rather quiet and gentle impression.
“These two are the daughters of attendants who work at my estate. They accompanied me today when I came to register as an adventurer.”
“My young lady decided to register as an adventurer because she wishes to help those in need.”
“Naturally, she will carry out her adventurer activities in between her studies as a noblewoman. For the most part, she plans to operate in the vicinity of the royal capital.”
Well, being a young lady from a ducal house, I suppose her activities will be limited to areas within reach of her estate. Still, given what the future holds, that’s perhaps to be expected.
